A new side of Jennie Kim has been unveiled in the new teaser of The Weeknd’s upcoming series, The Idol.
On August 20, The Weeknd released the series’ second teaser which features the Blackpink member Jennie Kim.
Although not much is revealed about Kim’s role, fans are guessing that she could be somewhat a “baddie” or a “villain.” The singer appeared in some scenes with co-star Lily-Rose Depp. She is seen flashing a devilish grin while lounging at the sauna with Depp’s character, then going dancing in a crowded club in the next scene.
Whatever her character may be, fans couldn’t be more excited to see the K-pop singer debut as a Hollywood actress with her full name, Jennie Ruby Jane, as her screen name.

Without a doubt, a mere few seconds of Kim appearing on the sizzling teaser is already enough to make fans go wild and swoon over her as she dominates the trend list moments after release.

Last July, the K-pop singer was confirmed to make her Hollywood debut with The Weeknd’s six-episode drama. It is set to follow the romance between an up-and-coming pop star played by Lily-Rose Depp and an enigmatic self-help guru who turns out to be a cult leader which is played by Abel Tesfaye a.k.a The Weeknd.
Aside from the Hollywood series, Blinks have been looking forward to BLACKPINK’s comeback. The BLACKPINK singer-turned-actress recently returned to the music scene with co-members Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo after 22 months of hiatus. The K-pop quartet released their most anticipated comeback single, “Pink Venom,” which is a part of their upcoming second full album “Born Pink.” They are set to release the album on September 16 and will start their world tour in October 2022.
