South Korean singer HyunA got a marriage proposal from a fan and she replied to it in the most honest and cutest way possible.
HyunA was one of the performers at a university festival, and in the middle of her performance, she noticed a fan holding up a message which seemed to be a marriage proposal to the singer. The singer wondered, “Is it the trend these days to ask people to marry you?” but when she looked back it seems like the fan was actually serious, which made the singer say, “Oh, you’re being serious?”
With a moment of hesitation, the singer smiled and raised her left hand to proudly show off the ring on her fourth finger. Earlier this year, the singer got engaged to her long-time partner, South Korean rapper, Dawn.
“What do I do? I’m already wearing a ring on my hand,” HyunA cutely exclaims to the fans and then to the audience’s surprise, she introduces her boyfriend who was actually with her that day, “You know what else? I actually came here with my boyfriend today. Let me introduce you guys to my boyfriend.”
When the singer’s boyfriend, Dawn, came up on stage, HyunA told him that someone was asking her to marry her, and unfortunately, she was already wearing an engagement ring. And it looked like her boyfriend decided to go along with it and asked, “Who? Who is hitting on my girlfriend?” Dawn then proudly held up his left hand and pointed to the ring on his fourth finger exclaiming, “Don’t you see this?”
The audience roared and shouted at the adorable moment between the couple. As South Korean stars, Dawn and HyunA are loved by many for how they are breaking the norms of celebrity culture in their country and how they are not afraid to show affection towards one another in an industry where the idea of dating isn’t that much acceptable.
As the two continue to cutely interact on stage, audiences began to request for them to perform together which the couple happily gave into. HyunA and Dawn were able to pull off an impromptu performance of “Ping Pong” together with their crew, which the fans absolutely loved!
South Korean celebrities, HyunA and Dawn, have been together for four long years before they shared their engagement with fans last February 2022.
