L-O-V-E, Play that ping pong ~
K-Pop’s idol power couple HyunA and DAWN have finally dropped their joint album “[1+1=1]” and its lead single “Ping Pong” on September 9, 2021 at 6 P.M. KST. This marks their duo’s debut, and their third collaboration as artists, following “Purple” in 2017 when both were still under CUBE Entertainment as part of “Triple H”, and “Party, Feel, Love” earlier this year.
HyunA and DAWN’s duet EP was previously confirmed by their agency P Nation last August 30, 2021, which created waves on social media due to their chemistry in their professional and personal lives.
The idol couple’s first collab EP, [1+1=1], includes 4 tracks in which both artists wrote the lyrics for. ‘Ping Pong’, the album’s lead single, is a “moombahton dance track expressing the chemistry of a couple in love”, as described by Soompi. The song truly reflects the couple’s powerful chemistry (both in and out of the entertainment industry) and versatile artistry. The music video for ‘Ping Pong’ shows the couple dressed in vibrant colors in the middle of kitschy-like backgrounds.
Fans of HyunA and DAWN couldn’t help but express their excitement and feelings about their favorite couple’s collaboration and duo debut. They even admire the couple for being so immersed and proud of their relationship, that they even kissed and publicly declare their affections for one another.
