2NE1 breaks the Internet as they make their surprise reunion at Coachella

This Easter Sunday, Jesus Christ rose from the dead. So did the “Queens of K-Pop” 2NE1.

ICYMI: K-Pop girl group 2NE1 reunited on the 2022 Coachella stage 6 years after their disbandment. Members Sandara, Bom, and Minzy joined CL after finishing her solo performance for 88rising’s “Head in the Clouds” set, and performed their 2011 hit, “I Am The Best”.

After performing their hit and dramatically walking off stage, 88rising posted a photo of the quartet on their social media account with the caption, “We the best”. Sandara Park, also lovingly known in the Philippines as the “Pambansang Krung krung” (National Crazy Personality), shared photos of 2NE1’s set on her Twitter account, and as of writing, has received 134.2k likes, 55.5k retweets, and over 2k comments.

It’s obviously safe to say that 2NE1 not only surprised the crowds of Coachella, but also broke the Internet with their surprise group performance. Up until now, 2NE1 has remained at the top of the worldwide trends.

2NE1 truly has an impact like no other — well, every 2nd Generation K-Pop group in that manner anyway. The world was not ready to hear the B E S T after 6 years. 😭
