2022 Coachella and Stagecoach lift all COVID-19 precautions

On this year’s Coachella and its sister festival Stagecoach, event organizers have completely lifted all COVID-19 precautions indicating that the event’s attendees are no longer required to wear face masks, conduct tests, and will gladly welcome those who are yet to be vaccinated.

Stagecoach announced the altered protocols on their Twitter page and website last February 16.

Goldenvoice, one of Coachella’s main organizers, had also declared the modification of the festival’s admission rules on its website.

“There is no guarantee, express or implied, that those attending the festival will not be exposed to Covid-19,” Goldenvoice stated on Coachella’s site along with the event’s change of policies.

Although the anticipated music and arts festival have eased its precautions, Goldenvoice disclosed that the event’s current restrictions could still be altered “in accordance with applicable public health conditions.”

Coachella and Stagecoach’s disclosure transpired just a day after the California Department of Public Health announcement regarding its revised guidelines for outdoor events.

As soon as the notice was made known by media publications, event-goers had polarized reactions about the matter.

It’s already been about two years since huge events with thousands of attendees such as concerts or festivals get predominantly canceled due to the rapid surge of COVID-19 cases in the US. After more people have been vaccinated, both indoor and outdoor events were successfully held because of it.

Both Coachella and Stagecoach festivals are handled and organized by Goldenvoice. After being canceled for two consecutive years, the two biggest music and arts events will finally open its gates to ardent attendees of the festival.

The two festivals will be held in Indio Calif and will occur in over two weekends, April 15-17 and 22-24.

Coachella will be headlined by dynamic main acts Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Kanye West.

On the other hand, Coachella’s sister festival Stagecoach will open its gates on April 29-May 1. The event’s lineup will be featuring artists such as Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, and Thomas Rhett.
