Former manga artist Ryo Tatsuki foresees a mega-disaster that is predicted to happen this year.
The “Baba Vanga of Japan” refers to Ryo Tatsuki, who, like the famed Bulgarian mystic, is known for her prophecies. Tatsuki was once recognized for her work as a manga artist, but she is now better known for her unsettling predictions—many of which have already come true.
Now, she claims to have had a dream about a catastrophic event that could occur in July 2025: a mega-tsunami that would strike Japan and neighboring countries.
The sea south of Japan, she said, was “boiling” with large bubbles, which she thinks would indicate an underwater volcanic explosion. A tsunami three times larger than the one in 2011 could result from this, according to her.
According to her, countries like the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, and parts of Japan’s coastlines could be affected. In her dream, she saw the disaster’s center in a diamond-shaped region that connects the Northern Mariana Islands, Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Additionally, she spotted two dragon-like forms moving in this direction. Later, she discovered similar images on underwater maps close to Hawaii.
Although there is no scientific evidence yet of the said tsunami happening this year, scientists do agree that Japan lies in a very risky zone as it is on the western edge of the Pacific Ring of Fire which makes earthquakes and tsunamis common in the said country.
Tatsuki has been having dreams about global catastrophes since the 1980s. She began writing them in a dream diary and went on to publish a manga titled “The Future I Saw” in 1999.
Many of the dreams she wrote about have come true according to a report by Times of India. This is why people are now taking her latest warning very seriously.
In 1991, she had a dream about Queen’s lead vocalist, Freddie Mercury, which is one of her first known predictions. He died of an AIDS-related sickness a few months later.
However, her most famous forecast was made in 2011 wherein she said that a major catastrophe would occur in March 2011, which was the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that subsequently led to the Fukushima nuclear accident.
It’s important to note that these predictions are based on Tatsuki’s dreams and lack scientific backing. Currently, there is no scientific proof of a tsunami occurring this year. However, experts agree that Japan is located in a high-risk area, the Pacific Ring of Fire, where earthquakes and tsunamis are frequent.
