Superfan who went viral on Tiktok receives a surprise video call from Adele

Adele just put an end to a superfan’s misery when she surprised her with a video call.

Five days after Adele cancelled her shows in Las Vegas, she surprised Eleni Sabracos, a longtime superfan whose video went viral on Tiktok. The Tiktok video, which currently has 10.8 million views and 2.2 million likes, narrates all three of Sabracos’ failed attempts to see the “Easy on Me” singer since 2017.

On Saturday, only 24 hours before the “Weekends with Adele” shows were scheduled to start, the superstar posted a tearful apology video on Instagram saying that the show would be postponed.

“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you… But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew, half my team are down with COVID,” Adele said in the video. This has brought fans’ disappointment, including Sabracos, who travelled all the way to Vegas to attend Adele’s show.

But only a few hours later, without her knowing, Sabracos’ feeling of dismay turned into a feeling of excitement. The day after the announcement of the show’s cancellation, the superfan went to the Weekends with Adele Merchandise Store at Caesars Palace wearing her custom-made T-shirt that reads “I love Adele like Adele loves Beyonce,” only to find out that she’ll be talking to her idol over FaceTime.

“I love you, I’m sorry, I love you,” Sabracos, who’s almost in tears, told Adele. When asked why she felt sorry, the fan replied, “Because I feel for you. I know you’re doing everything you can.”

It seems like Adele ended the ‘chasing story’ when she told her, “I will cover all your cost…I will fly you in, and you’ll see me on stage. I’ll come and see you.”

While Sabracos’ fangirl journey did not go easy on her, it led her to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment with her favorite artist.

It was reported that Adele stayed on the phone during the past weekend, connecting with more fans who visited the pop-up shop.
