DAY6’s drummer Dowoon is the band’s next soloist

Just soon after Young K’s debut as a solo artist last September 6, 2021, DAY6’s drummer Dowoon is debuting next!

MyDays were caught by surprise as DAY6 and JYP Entertainment announced the drummer’s solo digital single on their official social media accounts last September 17, 2021.

Dowoon will be releasing a digital solo track titled “Suddenly” on September 27, 2021 at 6 P.M. KST. This single will be a duet with Song Heejin, who was also known to have collaborated with Young K for one of his “YOUNG ONE” covers.

In a post revealing more information for the DAY6 drummer’s solo single, it was revealed that Dowoon had written and composed the song, along with the drum instrumentals of the track. MyDays are in awe of his talent and preparations for his solo debut, as it had been a known fact that the drummer had been attending voice lessons for years and you only occasionally hear his vocals in DAY6’s songs.

Some of the tracks that had Dowoon’s low-toned range includes: “I’ll Try,” “Dance Dance,” “Beautiful Feeling,” “Finale,” “365247,” “Wanna Go Back,” and “so this is love”.
