Boy Abunda tricks with ‘okay not to be okay, okay to be not okay’ question during pageant

Beauty pageant fans were taken aback by the weight of the question thrown by Tito Boy Abunda to one of the Binibini candidates in the recently held Binibining Pilipinas 2021

The prominent showbiz personality meant to emphasize on mental health and asked, “Ngayon madalas nating naririnig, [We hear it often now] it’s okay to not be okay. My question is, when is it okay not to be okay? And when is it not okay to be not okay?”

With the binibini’s fierce attempt, she answered, “You know sometimes it’s hard to move on especially that if we lost our loved ones, when we’re depressed…” and added, “embrace your sadness, because in embracing your sadness, you will feel happiness afterwards.”

Clearly, Tito Boy’s question was quite different from his usual “fast talk” material that it left the candidate scrambling to come up with an answer. Well, at least it didn’t disappoint us to have the veteran host in the program– with him just throwing the question and proving himself that the King of Talk is a well-deserved title.

As expected, the tricky question is no exemption from the unfathomable humor of Filipinos– leaving a lot of Twitter users to spur fun out of it.

Looks like K-drama fanatics also see the obvious connection between the beauty pageant question and the hit Korean drama series ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’

At this point, we only wish for the King of Talk to answer the question himself, and while we wait, all that we can say is…

Tito Boy
