The limited edition collection aims to showcase everyone’s beloved friend, Mickey, alongside the richness of Filipino culture conveyed through the collection of bold colorful sneakers, jackets, tees, pants, shorts, and bags.
Disney lovers will be delighted to see Mickey’s iconic logo emblazoned on the footwear with our traditional “Habi” pattern and colors of the Philippine flag. This is the first time that we will see Mickey Mouse side-by-side with iconic Pinoy symbols like the Sarimanok and Adarna with bold national colors. There will be two sneaker styles for men and women named Bandila and Habi while kids can enjoy their own version of Bandila and the unique design of Adarna available in laces and velcro for easier wear.
The Bandila sneaker style is inspired by the different colors of the flag with red and blue on one side and a mickey icon on the other. The minimalist-looking Habi has a comfortable sock-fit and native espadrille material.
The World Balance clothing and accessories collection is all about encouraging our “Pusong Pinoy” to come out, no matter where we are or where we come from. The modern aesthetics of the Bandila bomber jacket can be easily mix and match with the comfy Bandila shorts and Jeepney lounge pants. The Sarimanok and Bandila tees are emblazoned with Mickey head and local patterns. You can wear the Bandila polo shirt in comfort with its dual tone design and subtle print. Complete the head-to-toe look with the Bandila fanny pack.
The shoe box and packaging are also a collectible with its creative rendition of our jeepney and the use of iconic fonts resembling Pinoy street signs. As a country with a very strong visual culture, the design elements are carried over as an art form that celebrates our people.
The Disney x World Balance Mickey Go Philippines collection features 11 new designs. This will be available for online pre-order at www.worldbalance.com.ph starting June 9 to 11 and official release on select World Balance stores will be on June 12.
