Here’s a random fact: Youn Yuh-jung and PH actress Maui Taylor were in a movie together

On today’s list of things you probably didn’t know: Filipina actress Maui Taylor was once in a movie with Oscar-winning Korean actress Youn Yuh-jung.

Twitter user Kristine Patag shared this random fact shortly after Yuh-jung won Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars. Based on the screenshots from her Google search, it appears to be true. Maui appeared opposite the critically-acclaimed actress in ‘The Taste of Money’, a thriller erotica film.

In ‘The Taste of Money’, Youn Yuh-jung plays Baek Geum-ok, the matriarch of an affluent family in Seoul. When she finds out that her husband is having an affair with their Filipina maid, played by Maui Taylor, Geum-ok sets up a plan to kill her.

Don’t believe us? Well this movie clip released on YouTube shows a scene of Yuh-jung choking and threatening Maui’s character.

The movie seems to be true to its erotic premise with a scene of Youn Yuh-jung’s character seduces her daughter’s suitor.
