As the pandemic continues to ravage the world, our present reality fills us with agony and many of us have been seeking any form of relief for our restless minds. Now more than ever, we look for the peace and tranquility that only the night can bring.
In line with this, the UP Manila Chorale in partnership with Tulong Kabataan presents its first ever online fundraising recital entitled “Echoes: Serenades of the Night” on October 2, 2020, 7:00PM. The event will showcase the musical prowess and versatility of our choristers who will sing to you with timeless pieces from Broadway, Kundiman, and Art Song genres. This serves as the culmination of a month-long intensive vocal lesson series headed by none other than our esteemed music director, Mr. Lorenz Edward Sarrondo.
This event also features Ms. Trisha Piao, an alumna of the Philippine Madrigal Singers serving as accompanist.
A portion of the proceeds from the fundraiser shall be donated to jeepney drivers and urban poor children in Manila and Quezon City.
