Dante Gulapa openly shares hard truth: ‘Help me look for a job’

This pandemic has obviously hit everyone pretty hard, with some more so than others. Local celebrities are not immune to this hardship either, and we’ve seen several on the cusp of a total breakdown, whether physically, financially, or emotionally.

But despite these very challenging odds, there are those who choose to fight this hard battle and are honest enough to admit to the world exactly what they’re going through.

Local Internet and TV personality Dante Gulapa recently shared over Facebook that he’s having a hard time coping with the health crisis because he’s left without work due to cancelled gigs. He’s not ashamed to ask his followers if they have any jobs he can do so he can make a living and provide for his kids.

We remember Gulapa as the guy that went viral last year after he posted videos of himself doing erotic “macho” dancing, which earned him the nickname ‘Big Papa’ or ‘King Eagle’ coined by his fans dubbed as ‘Gulapanatics.’ Shortly after he became online famous, he appeared on several local television shows and even got an endorsement deal with a motorcycle ride sharing service.

At the height of his popularity, people discovered the man behind the dance moves and there was even a Twitter thread that detailed how much of a good guy he truly is.

But his rise to becoming a regular household name was stopped short because of the pandemic, and now he is appealing to followers to give him any leads for work. His fandom Gulapanatics were quick to show support to their idol, with already more than 700 comments on the post giving him tips and advice. The post has since been shared more than 1,000 times.

We stan Dante Gulapa. Give the guy a job.
