American-Cuban singer and songwriter Camila Cabello will video chat with fans who will check their voter registration status.
The pop and R&B singer collaborated with Headcount, a non-profit organization that “uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy,” to encourage fans to exercise their right to vote.
I promised to keep using my platform to take action and make real lasting change, so I’m working with @headcountorg to help register voters. text VOTER CAMILA to 40649 to register to vote, check your status, etc. plus enter to win a video chat with me ❤️ https://t.co/fKOKxZ7gal pic.twitter.com/zMSELg1Gbk

Participants are directed to a web page where they can check their voter registration status and once they’re done, they stand a chance to win a video chat with Cabello.
Winners will be chosen at random on the first of every month until October 1.
Headcount regularly organizes voter registration drives at more than 1,000 live events each year and collaborates with cultural leaders to promote civic engagement in the US. Since 2004, they’ve signed up over 600,000 voters with touring musicians like Ariana Grande, Dead & Company, and Beyoncé and events like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Pride Festivals, and RuPaul’s DragCon.
