13-year-old student shares her message of hope for the frontliners

This POP! Creators entry was sent in by Jonesha “Eesha” Christiane, a 13-year-old student from the Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School.

She shares with POP! her message of hope for the frontliners.

“To express my deepest feelings to the frontliners, who are out there battling against the contagious COVID-19 virus, I decided to put all of the lessons I’ve learned from [my] Journalism class to write this letter. In the letter, I wrote all of the things I am dying to say to our modern heroes, and I hope that it could help them even in the smallest [of] ways,” she said.

Here is the message she came up with:

The note reads:

“Dear front liners,

From the bottom of our hearts, we’d like to say thank you for pursuing the battle against the COVID-19 [outbreak], despite the numerous risks it may bring [to your health]. Your sleepless nights and restless days are worth being grateful for. We respect you greatly, for you endured the pain of endless work duties, being away from your loved ones, and fighting the most feared pandemic that is currently spreading like wildfire. Besides expressing our most sincere thanks, we would also like to apologize on behalf of the people who, until now, are looking down on your outstanding abilities and treat you like the carriers of this virus. If you ever feel down, please remember that every day, we include you in our prayers. Deep down in our hearts, we pray to God for your safety and that this pandemic shall vanish, as a sign of victory. Always remember to not push yourself too hard, because God is in control. He loves you, and will always protect you. Once again, thank you for everything and may God bless you. Your efforts will never be forgotten by the world.”
