Regarding the inspiration behind her poems, she tells POP!: “I was inspired by God’s blessings and support in my life. He has given me the strength to overcome challenges in life and chase my dreams. He has been patient with me through all my faults, mistakes, and weaknesses. I’m forever grateful for all the opportunities and blessings He has given me and my family. With these pieces, I hope to share with others my love for God, who has changed my life forever.”

Blessings from You
Broken, beaten, struggling and lost in life,
Lord, You lifted me, helped me through this strife.
Encouraged, renewed, I persist for You.
Sustained by Your grace, it carries me through.
Strengthened by Your love, it fills me with hope.
In You I find there’s nothing I can’t cope.
Nourished by Your Word, a blessing that came.
God, thank You, I will never be the same.
So long as I live, I will praise Your name.
Everything to You
Even if problems are as difficult as they can be,
Victory over evil, Your strength always inspires me.
Ever so caring, You always show me love and mercy.
Rectifying my mistakes, through You I see my folly.
Your unwavering faith in me I never fail to see.
Through every challenge, Your belief in me carries me through.
Humbled by Your grace, I long to have Your compassion, too.
In Your wisdom I always depend for the tasks I do.
Never giving up on me, You transformed my life anew.
God, for these reasons, I’ll dedicate everything to You.
