Considering the rising number of COVID-19 cases all over the world, it’s understandable why many of us have become paranoid over the items we touch or come in contact with. In fact, this fear of transmission is so real that a lot of people have even chosen to wear unique protective gear just to prevent contagion. So, you can imagine the outrage (and horror) these bystanders felt when they saw this Canadian man lick the surface of the bank’s door in a fit of anger.
In the video obtained by ViralHog, the man can be seen shouting profanities at the individuals lining up outside before licking the door and leaving the premises.
According to TMZ‘s report, the incident happened at a TD Canada Trust Bank in British Columbia, Canada. The man-in-question was reportedly outraged after learning that the branch adjusted its work hours to accommodate senior citizens. Because of this new setup, the bank would have to deny him service to make room for the elderly’s transactions.
Visibly upset and fuming, the man storms out of the bank, cursing at the individuals outside. He then stops in front of the bank’s glass door and licks it.
After the incident, the bystanders took note of the man’s vehicle and plate number and gave it to the police.
As of this writing, Canadian authorities have already identified the man in the video and are currently discussing the legal actions for it.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this lewd act has been done. Just last month, a female influencer filmed herself licking a toilet seat for the #coronaviruschallenge. And days after that, an American man was also caught and arrested for spreading his saliva on a row of toiletries in the supermarket.
This “licking trend” can cause severe negative effects on the community. From unnecessary paranoia to the possible transmission of the disease, actions like this will benefit no one during this time of crisis. So, let this story be a reminder for everyone that internet fame or revenge is not a justified reason for committing this unsanitary crime.
