WATCH: Facebook user reinvents ‘Tala’ as an anime theme song

One of the OPM songs that went viral in 2019 was “Tala (Star)” by Filipino singer, Sarah Geronimo. The song was written by Nica del Rosario and Emmanual Sambayan with music and production by Jumbo De Belen and Alisson Shore of Flip Music Production. It was released in 2015 under Geronimo’s album The Great Unknown.

Aside from a whole slew of dance covers and challenges, fans also took this obsession to a new level by creating acoustic versions, parodies, dance tutorials, meme compilations, and many more.

Last February 14, Facebook user Jameson Tenorio created a guitar cover video of  Tala where he showcased his music skills. In the said video, Tenorio can be seen playing an anime theme song version that features characters from Sword Art Online and Demon Slayer.

His video gained positive comments from online viewers—causing it to garner 1 million views, 50, 000 shares, and 4.9K comments.

Whether you’re an official popster or not, you will surely enjoy this unique version of Tala.
