WATCH: A ‘star is born’ after woman belts ‘Shallow’ in train station

What happens when you let a stranger at a train station sing a couple of lines from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow”? Well, it seems like a star will be born.

Charlotte Awbery has taken the internet by storm after appearing on social media entertainer Kevin Freshwater’s “Finish the Lyrics” video, where she impressively belted out the chorus to a song from the soundtrack of the Academy-nominated 2018 film “A Star Is Born.”

Freshwater only posted the video last Monday, Feb. 17, but it has so far gained almost 142,000 reactions and 60,000 shares. Although several strangers were included in the video, netizens couldn’t help but point out Awbery’s amazing vocals.

Freshwater, who appears to have not met Awbery before, approached her as she was exiting a train station and asked her to continue singing the first few lines of “Shallow.”

The social media entertainer certainly did not expect such a wonderful response from Awbery, and was clearly shocked by the stranger’s beautiful voice. Before they parted ways, she admitted to Freshwater that she is a singer.

A Lady Gaga Twitter fan account with the handle @AMENARTPOP, took Awbery’s part from the video and reuploaded it on Twitter yesterday, Feb. 18, much to the delight of Little Monsters (Lady Gaga’s fanbase).

“Her vocals,” the fan simply said. The video has accumulated around an impressive 14,500 retweets and 56,600 likes as of this writing.

It seems that two years after Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut and Lady Gaga’s award-winning performance in their film, stars continue to be born.  /ra
