Veteran actor Al Tantay directs this wildly irreverent and funny movie, which follows the story of three guys who get themselves into a spot of trouble when they try to pull a fast one on some shrewd land developers.
Upon the death of millionaire tycoon Don Robert Endrinal, Andy and Dondon (Andrew E. and Dennis Padilla) find out that their friend Johnny (Janno Gibbs) is actually the son of the departed businessman, and has inherited his father’s business. But when they arrive at the mansion, the indolent Johnny tells everyone that Andy is Johnny to escape any added responsibility. Dondon plays along with this charade. They soon find themselves trying to outwit land developer Mr. Russell (played by the late Eddie Garcia), who is determined to acquire Johnny’s hacienda and turn it into a casino complex.
To what crazy lengths will Andy, Johnny, and Dondon go to protect the hacienda and keep their secret at the same time?
Rounding out the cast of “Sanggano, Sanggago’t Sanggwapo” are Louise delos Reyes, Cindy Miranda, and Vanessa Wright, who play the ladies vying for the attention of the film’s three leads.
Back in the ‘90s, Andrew E., Janno Gibbs, and Dennis Padilla showcased their comedic chops as a team in the 1997 film “Si Mokong, si Astig, at si Gamol.”
