The Cruise 2019 to 2020 collection by Chanel, presented last May in Paris’ Grand Palais, which was transformed into a train station for the occasion, is the subject of a new campaign notably featuring Caroline de Maigret and Soo Joo Park.
For the occasion, the muses for the luxury brand were styled as modern and elegant adventurers.
As was the case with the runway show in the Grand Palais in Paris, a station serves as a backdrop for this latest Cruise collection communication, which offers an invitation to set out to discover the world.
Caroline de Maigret and Soo Joo Park stride through the halls of the Gare de Lyon, embarking on a “mysterious back and forth,” as do Tami Williams, Ola Rudnicka, and Amanda Sanchez, who have also been selected for the collection.
“They embody the grace of journeys, one that ends or one that begins; the one we missed or the one we fantasize about. These silhouettes in continuous motion challenge the ones who see them to follow them. The spectrum of colors, from green to mauve, differentiates them, their timeless elegance brings them together. In a few flashes, the Chanel woman appears in all her singularity,” explained the luxury house.
Among the much-noted pieces in this mid-season collection are a long jacket in pink tweed, jersey leggings, a top with a wide ruffled organdie collar, a hooded trench coat, belted at the waist, a blue suit decorated with a white bow, and wide trousers with double buttons. As for the leather goods and accessories, there is the quilted jersey Chanel 19 bag, the Chanel 31 in faded denim, and a series of jewels, notably hoop and pendant earrings in metal set with strass.
