FEU CS Ekspo 2019 presents ‘Likha: Filipinos Merging Innovation with Boundless Imagination’

The Computer Science (CS) students of FEU – Institute of Technology under the College of Computer Studies (CCS) will conduct its annual Computer Science Exposition and Conference this coming Wednesday (June 26, 2019). The main objective of this event is to showcase various thesis projects that aim to solve social issues through developing and innovating projects with the application of computer programming, new technological concepts and methods. 

The theme for this year’s CS Expo is “Likha: Filipinos Merging Innovation with Boundless Imagination”. It will be held on June 26, 2019, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. at the Innovation Center, 5th Floor of FEU – Institute of Technology Engineering Building, Nicanor Reyes St., Sampaloc, Maila City. Thus, the theme focuses on how Filipinos simultaneously adapt to use the innovations of technology around the world and at the same time develop projects that help resolve social conflicts. 

Thesis projects namely “BayT”, “Meat Analyzer”, “SkinCheckr”, “Cyclometer Training”, “Audisync”, “Techy Bartender”, and “Sentiment Analysis for Senatorial Election 2019” will be showcased during the event. These projects are going to be presented by their respective student developers to demonstrate how it works, their vision about their projects and how they implemented it.

There will also be a conference about the latest trends of technology available today that Filipino programmers can use to effectively adapt to the innovations of technology. The exposition’s competent speakers are Mr. John Hay Supetran, Co-Founder of Origami XR; Mr. Emerson Fonseca, Head of NEM Philippines; and Mr. Argelo Royce Bautista, Business System Analyst at Analog Devices.
