‘John Wick or Professor Snape?’: Internet users puzzled by Mark Zuckerberg’s Halloween costume

CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, participated in the Halloween festivities this year by dressing up as Keanu Reeves’ famed Hollywood assassin from “John Wick” but it seems like the internet is not convinced.

The Meta CEO was accompanied by his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their three gorgeous daughters, all dressed like ballerinas in a series of photos posted on his Instagram account.

Zuckerberg’s face was covered in bloodstains and he wore a slick black suit and tie. The post came along with a caption that reads, “When your house full of girls decides to be ballerinas, be John Wick.”

While many social media users applauded Zuckerberg’s costume, others couldn’t help but draw comparisons between him and the late Alan Rickman’s iconic character from Harry Potter, Severus Snape.

One user wrote, “Closer to Snape than John wick. Please don’t deactivate my account for that.”

Another user wrote, “Mix: John Wick and Severus Snape Zuckerberg Edition.”

A third user wrote, “Is that Severus Snape from Harry Potter?”

“Professor Snape would be very proud,” a fourth user commented.

A fifth user commented “You look like Severus Snape from Harry Potter.”

More internet users expressed their thoughts about his getup with them poking poking fun at his costume.

Zuckerberg also had previously drawn inspiration from a movie for his Halloween costume. He and his family chose a theme from J.K. Rowling’s renowned Harry Potter series wherein the Meta CEO dressed up as Albus Dumbledore during the celebration while his daughters dressed in costumes to represent Hogwarts students.

“John Wick,” directed by Chad Stahelski, is a movie about a legendary assassin who comes out of retirement to get revenge on the men who killed his dog.
