Pitbull responds after fans notice Kesha’s credit removed from ‘Timber’ on YouTube

Pitbull recently addressed fan concerns after Kesha’s name was mysteriously removed from the YouTube title of their 2013 hit music video, “Timber.” Fans quickly noticed the change and took to social media to express their confusion and frustration, leading to a flurry of speculation about the reason behind the update.

After some fans speculation, Pitbull went to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday to address the rumors about why Kesha’s name was removed from the YouTube title of their 2013 music video, “Timber.”

“[Kesha] and I have an incredible song together,” Pitbull wrote. “Nothing will change this. Team Pitbull is looking into this matter. Always nothing but love for Kesha, Dale!”

Kesha’s concerned fans are leading the latest backlash storm online. Supporters of the singer noticed that Kesha’s name was mysteriously removed from one of her biggest collaborations and sprung into action.

“Timber” is widely recognized as one of Pitbull’s most famous songs, and Kesha’s contribution played a significant role in its success. However, if you look up “Timber” on YouTube now, you’re greeted with a thumbnail of a lone Mr. Worldwide, with a video title crediting him alone.

Opinions on the situation are divided. While some fans are confused and upset about the change, others are expressing gratitude toward Pitbull for his continued support of Kesha. One user tweeted, “No cap, Pitbull always has Kesha’s back. Love to see it!”

Fans are also defending Pitbull, with one person tweeting, “Anyone who thought Pitbull randomly woke up one morning, decided to log into his YouTube account, and remove Kesha’s name from an 11 year old song is actually stupid.”

Meanwhile, others are stating their opinions and emphasizing that the song wouldn’t be the same without Kesha. As one fan remarked, “It wouldn’t be a hit without her.”

One user tweeted, “song would’ve been a flop without kesha,” Another user tweeted, “That’s actually crazy considering she’s the main reason the song is popular and she still hasn’t been paid the millions of dollars she’s owed in Timber’s royalties.”

As of this writing, Kesha has still not made a statement. Fans continue to await clarification as the situation unfolds.
