‘Smosh’ cast Shayne Topp and Courtney Miller share wedding photos on April 1st, confuse fans

Shayne Topp and Courtney Miller from the YouTube channel ‘Smosh’ sent shockwaves through the internet, most especially among fans, when they suddenly posted their engagement and marriage photos on their social media accounts. Although fans have long shipped the two, many are still skeptical about whether it’s true or simply one of their April Fools’ pranks.

On Shayne and Courtney’s Instagram account, there are snaps from their wedding with a caption, “Obviously. 3.29.24,” suggesting that the event may have occurred on the 29th and they’ve only recently decided to make their marriage public. Meanwhile, Courtney also posted an Instagram story that reads, “A silly day for a silly couple.”

The announcement generated mixed reactions from fans, with some of them congratulating the two while others are still skeptical thinking that this is still part of the team’s “skit.”

But later on, Shayne and Courtney also posted photos from their wedding on X (formerly Twitter).

With these photos from the two, fans cannot help but feel elated with how long the two have been shipped together and now that it has become a reality, they just wanted the best out of the newlywed couple. Although they are not directly saying that the wedding is true, the support and congratulatory remarks from the co-casts of Smosh may be proof enough that it is indeed real and that they are extremely happy for their friends.

During the live of Damien Haas, a very close friend and cast of Smosh, addressed the query of fans regarding the marriage between Courtney and Shayne, stating, “Just like with anything else on the internet, with interpersonal stuff, the only thing I’m comfortable sharing is what has already been shared. And what I can say is what you’ve already seen— Shane and Courtney got married.”

Damien reassured the fans while still being respectful of the couple by not sharing other details regarding the event because he stated that it is not his place to share details that did not concern his personal life.
