Looks like Five Nights at Freddy’s star Josh Hutcherson is aware of his viral whistle meme.
In the actor’s latest appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last January 10 promoting his new film “The Beekeeper,” host Jimmy Fallon told the actor that even though he is not present on social media, he is still very much all over the internet because of his whistle meme that has gone viral.
Hutcherson was not aware of this TikTok meme and said, “I had no idea it existed, and then my girlfriend posted it.” Upon noticing that the memes created had nothing to do with the whistling, the actor further expounded that the photos are “an edit montage of photos that somebody did in 2014, and they put it to a song.”

The whistle edit meme apparently came from a YouTube video uploaded nine years ago that shows a montage of the actor posing for photos and clips Hutcherson having Flo Rida’s song “Whistle” in the background. The video has found its way back into the social media feed and now the internet has made its own take of the meme.
“Now it’s like a Rick Roll,” he stated. “You think you’re going to watch a recipe. They open up the pot and it’s my face, and the whistle starts… it’s ridiculous.”

He also shared during the chat show that the way he was made aware of the said meme was through an explanation from his little brother and his brother’s boyfriend while they were together during the holidays.
The actor described the meme as “very creative” and “very odd,” adding “I’m here for it.”
When Hutcherson was shown a video of President Joe Biden sipping from a mug that showed the actor’s face with the whistle tune, he jokingly said, “It’s an honor. I’ll be under Joe’s mug anytime.”
