Revelations about Francis M’s lover yield opinions from just about every Filipino online

The bombshell has just been dropped: the late Filipino rapper Francis M allegedly had a secret lover and a love child. In a recent episode of ‘Pinoy Pawnstars,’ Abigail Rait and her daughter, Gail Francesca, sold the legendary rapper’s jersey, and revealed their secret love affair that began 15 years ago.

As the controversy popped up early last week and gained traction over the weekend, mixed reactions from Filipino social media users became a dime a dozen. Many influencers, personalities, and even regular social media users shared their opinions regarding the said issue.

Some blasted the apparent romanticism of “cheating”:

Meanwhile, a Twitter user  pointed out that Rait must have kept their relationship for years since she’s a mistress. The said tweet was liked by Frank Magalona, the late rapper’s son with his real partner Pia Magalona.

There were those that called for people to go a little easy on the mud-slinging, because, “we truly don’t know the full story”:

Some also think both parties could have handled this issue better, and more importantly, privately:

On October 18, actress and model Maxene Magalona reposted the US-based motivational speaker Laura Dawn’s words about “transmuting sacred rage into acts of kindness,” following his late father’s romantic involvement with Rait.

While many were disappointed, some went to the other side of the road and chose to applaud Rait’s bravery. Some also said that Maxene Magalona and her siblings should accept their half-sister just for their late father’s sake. Here are the comments:

Some also romanticized the rapper’s relationship with Rait, with others even pointing out that she is “pretty.”

Some have turned to poking fun at the root cause of this issue, which is Boss Toyo and his pawn game:

Well, it seems that the fuss is not yet over as an ex-content producer broke his silence and dropped another shocking revelation. Robby Tarroza said in a Facebook post that Kiko and Pia Magalona weren’t married, and that they already separated before he entered a relationship with Abegail Rait. Here’s the full statement:

Wait, what’s this! It’s…it’s OMG It’s Francis M’s former publicist Pilar Mateo with a steel chair proof of Pia and Francis’s wedding:

This photo began circulating after Robby Tarroza posted his statement, which seems to be in response to his claim that Pia and Francis were never married. The above photo was posted on Pilar Mateo’s Facebook page, with the caption, “Wedding in HongKong of Francis Magalona and Pia.” According to Bandera, who got in touch with Ms Mateo, the publicist is unsure of the exact date, but that the photo was taken in the late 80s. It seems the public isn’t letting this issue up for now, so most likely there will be more hot takes in the coming days as the story continues to develop. Or maybe even weeks, who knows.
