Hurled microphone by Cardi B is up for auction, for a good cause

The viral hurled microphone that American rapper Cardi B threw in anger at an audience member during a concert in Las Vegas has been put up for auction on eBay, with the profit to be given to charity.

During Cardi B’s performance at Drais Beach Club in Las Vegas over the weekend, an audience member threw the content of their cup filled with beverage and ice – to which, the rapper retaliated by chucking the microphone she was holding straight to the audience member.

But now, that microphone will be tossed for a good cause.

Scott Fisher of The Wave, the audio company behind the concert, decided to put the wireless Shure AD2 Axient Digital microphone for auction on eBay to raise money for two charities – Friendship Circle Las Vegas, “an organization that has teens and young adults volunteer to help children, teens and other young adults with special needs,” and Wounded Warrior Project, which “helps to bring independence back to our most severely wounded veterans.”

“I was encouraged to sell the mic but decided I would try to do something good,” Fisher said in the item description.

He assured that the microphone is the real one that Cardi B threw which can be identified through the tape marked “main” wrapped around it and that the microphone is still working after they did some testing.

The microphone is said to originally cost $1,000 dollars with starting bid beginning at $500 – as of August 2 (9:37 PM-PDT), the highest bid has already reached a whopping $99,300 (approx. P5,500,723).

Bidding for the auction is scheduled to end on Tuesday, August 8 (PDT).
