A colleague ‘breaks his silence’ about the Jason-Moira breakup

“He was willing to go down history as the only bad guy, the only one who made a mistake. But Moira kept singing and releasing defamatory songs against Jason, filling up Araneta Colosseum and touring the world with one purpose for her shows: to get people’s sympathy. So I am breaking my silence so that the truth can finally come out.”

In a lengthy Facebook post, songwriter Lolito Go shared what “he believes he knows” about the story of singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre and his ex-husband, Jason Marvin Hernandez, who became the talk of the town after their breakup in 2022.

Go, who worked with Dela Torre for 2017’s Himig Handog’s “Titibo-tibo” and the presidential song for Leni Robredo, shared that he couldn’t take the bashing toward Hernandez by the public anymore prompting him to write the post.

In the post, he described Dela Torre as a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ while stating that her song “EME” doesn’t state the truth that she isn’t at fault for her breakup with Hernandez, “Looks and voice can definitely deceive. This soft-spoken lady with a voice of an angel, who always seems to have a sunny disposition, and has a penchant for quoting the Bible, has a dark side unknown to many,” he said.

He continued that he refuses to stay quiet even if he is strongly advised by others, saying, “I refuse to be neutral. To be neutral in times of injustice is to take the side of the oppressor. In this case, Moira is more of an oppressor than a victim. Jason took all the blame, took all the bashing, in the name of love.”

“That’s how he was raised. To roll with the punches. To give the other cheek. Jason and Moira are both Christians, pero mukhang si Jason lang ang faithful with the teachings of Christ. Yes, nagkasala sya. Pero walang third party on Jason’s side. He never fell in love with anyone else” he added.

Last May 2022, Hernandez revealed in an Instagram post that he and Dela Torre are parting ways after three years of marriage as he confessed that he has been unfaithful to Dela Torre during their marriage.

Hernandez also recently posted a photo of a ‘mystery girl’ with the caption “Siya ang nag ligtas sa’kin, ang nagbalik ng aking ngiti,” before posting the music video for his new song “Ikaw Pa Rin” featuring clips from his wedding with Dela Torre.

Go then continued to blame Dela Torre for Hernandez’s sin of listening “to the call of flesh and availed of illicit massage service” because Dela Torre couldn’t fulfill Hernandez’s sexual needs.

He edited out the part where he called Hernandez’s sin a “minor offense” as he didn’t recognize the fact that Hernandez and Dela Torre are married during the time.

He then shared how Dela Torre already wanted out after Hernandez confessed, implying that Dela Torre ‘also’ found someone else. “Someone who will “dance in the rain” with her and call her “binibini”,” he described the supposed person.

“Jason was mocked, wrongly accused, and crucified while Moira was busy washing her hands and capitalizing on their breakup by writing awkward songs that only serve her interests and twisted sense of reality,” while stating the difference between the intention of Dela Torre’s song “EME” and Hernandez’s “Ikaw Pa Rin.”

Go proceeds to glorify Hernandez for his “act of faith” while stating Dela Torre only cares about her image and continued to wish the best for their relationship, “Despite all the things said and done, I was still hoping for a second chance for Moira and Jason. I’ve seen uglier and messier break ups. Kami mismo ng asawa ko, we experienced worse. But we held on,” he said.

Before reaching his point in his post that shared his hatred over Dela Torre, which constantly mentioned Dela Torre’s mental health condition without regard, he mentioned that Dela Torre might just probably be overwhelmed with success and her medication that the singer forgot her “true nature”.

“Ang pinakapunto ko rito, it’s easy for us to root for someone at the expense of another. Sobrang olats (talo) talaga ng cancel culture. We hated Jason so much without knowing the backstory. I feel sorry for his family. They didn’t deserve to be dragged into this mess. I pray for their healing. At sana lang, this issue can be mended privately, instead of this never-ending trial by publicity,” he said.

UPDATE:

Go posted an alleged conversation with Moira offering him to be a ghost writer. “More resibos to follow,” he wrote.
