Fan’s inappropriate behavior towards Jackson Wang at his Brazil concert warrants K-pop stans’ anger

GOT7 member and successful solo artist Jackson Wang recently held his “Magic Man” World Tour at São Paulo, Brazil last May 15, 2023, making history as the first Chinese artist to ever hold a concert in the country.

With his “Magic Man” known for being quite theatrical and insanely good with all its flair, songs, and performances, one specific performance that night caught the attention of fans and of netizens all around the world.

Jackson Wang is known to bring one fan on stage during the song, “I Love You 3000,” and while has always asked for consent and maintained a proper distance from fans, one certain fan had outrightly disrespected the artist’s boundaries. In the São Paulo concert, the fan brought by Wang on stage was seen fondling, groping, and caressing the singer as he was singing “I Love You 3000.”

In the video posted by user Leticia Martucci, it can be seen that the fan was touching Jackson Wang all over, and at some point, Wang himself had swung her legs over his when she was touching his inner thigh.

Fans had been quite vocal with their reactions towards the inappropriate behavior showed by the Brazilian fan and had asked the “Magic Man” singer to tone down his fanservice and letting fans on stage during performances.

Another instance of Jackson Wang and his team’s boundaries being disrespected was when another fan kissed Wang’s backup dancer without consent.

People should seriously consider taking a step back from fangirling or fanboying if it means that they’re going to disrespect people’s personal space for their own gain. Again, just because celebrities are public figures, doesn’t mean that they are entitled to take all the b***sh*t that fans believe to be a “sign of their love.”

Celebrities are entitled to keep their personal space and boundaries as much as we all are as private individuals, and they are not commodities. They are human beings, please start re-thinking your actions and be respectful.
