WOODZ is ready to journey again with ‘OO-LI’ comeback ahead of his world tour

South Korean singer Cho Seung Youn, known by his stage name WOODZ, is back with his fifth mini album “OO-LI” yesterday, April 26.

The mini album dropped with the pre-release single “Abyss”, along with “Deep Deep Sleep”, “Drowning”, “Busted”, “Who Knows”, “Ready to Fight”, and lead single “Journey”.

A very personal story by WOODZ, “Journey” is an extension of the story from his song “Abyss”; it is a pop song featuring band sounds and refreshing vocals that were written and composed by himself. The song talks about finding oneself and preparing for a new trip with excitement rather than fear.

WOODZ first debuted in 2014, as a member of K-pop group UNIQ, which is handled by his former agency, before going solo in 2016. He gained recognition when he joined Mnet’s survival reality TV show, Produce X 101, where he finished in fifth place joining the debut team. He returned to his solo activities after the group disbanded, and later leave his former company at the end of his exclusive contract.

“OO-LI” marks his first musical project under EDAM Entertainment after moving to the company last October 25, 2022.

The mini album is set to start a new musical era which will be accompanied by a world tour of the same name.

On March 24, WOODZ announced the first batch of his upcoming 2023 world tour, which will kickstart with a two-night concert in Seoul, South Korea on May 20 and 21.

He will then continue to the South American leg of his tour throughout July, performing in Mexico City, Lima, Santiago, and Sāo Paulo.

WOODZ will be coming to Manila on June 27 (Saturday).
