YG Entertainment threatens to impose strong legal actions following malicious rumors surrounding BLACKPINK’s Rosé

On April 13, 2023, YG Entertainment released a (kind of) strongly worded statement, following the malicious and baseless rumors surrounding BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

The statement reads as follows:

“This is YG Entertainment.

We reveal that the rumors associated with BLACKPINK’s Rosé that are spreading on various online communities, social media, etc. are clear false information.

We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist.

We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumors, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement.”

Rumors of BLACKPINK’s Rosé started spreading on social media after the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry uploaded a photo of the “Gone” singer and his acquaintances in the house of designer Eva Chow.

The photo drew traction, after which people online started speculating that Rosé was dating actor Kang Dong-won. The BLACKPINK vocalist was also hit with drug-related rumors after the netizens also claimed that she was taking drugs, after pointing out that the white powder that can be seen in the photo.

Due to the immense backlash received by the photo, Burberry Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci removed his Instagram post.

BLINKs strongly defended Rosé on the Internet and denounced the false rumors surrounding the artist.

Even though these rumors have already been debunked by YG Entertainment themselves, some people on the internetstill choose to spread unnecessary hate towards BLACKPINK’s Rosé. Disappointed, but not surprised. Some people really do need to step outside for a second and maybe, rethink their life.
