SEVENTEEN gears up for their upcoming full group comeback this April

Heads up, Carats! K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN is officially making their comeback this April.

Back on March 11, Korean news outlet Soompi revealed that PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed the K-pop group’s comeback in a phone call with Dispatch, saying, “SEVENTEEN will be releasing a new album next month.”

“The SEVENTEEN members are preparing for their fan meeting and working on the new album at the same time,” the agency revealed. “They are currently hard at work on their final preparations for the album,” they added.

The group’s leader, S.Coups, surprised fans with the announcement of their comeback during the first night of their “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND” fan meeting.

S.Coups playfully said, “The company told me to say this on the final day [of the fan meeting], but part of my charm is that I’m disobedient by nature. We’ll be making a comeback in April.”

This makes the boy band’s first group comeback in nine months after the release of their fourth repackaged album, “Sector 17,” in July 2022. Earlier this year, the Seventeen unit BSS topped different domestic music charts with their comeback title track “Fighting!” which features Lee Young Ji and has gained traction as the anthem of blue-collar workers on their way to work every morning.

Seventeen is a K-pop boy band that consists of 13 members segmented into three units: S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon (hip-hop unit); Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan (vocal unit); and Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino (performance unit). The band debuted back in 2015 with the release of their mini album “17 Carat” and the title track “Adore You”, under Pledis Entertainment.

In 2021, SEVENTEEN was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Social Artist and scored their fourth No. 1 last year on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with their repackaged album, “Sector 17.”
