SEVENTEEN is so ‘HOT’ for making their comeback like that

Yup, SEVENTEEN is definitely back with another no-skip album added to their roster.

On May 27, 2022 at 1 P.M. KST, SEVENTEEN dropped their fourth studio album, “Face the Sun”, along with an accompanying music video for their title track, “HOT”. This is the group’s comeback nine months after the release of their 9th EP, “Attaca” on September 2021.

Prior to the release of the album, SEVENTEEN dropped their first English-language single, “Darl+ing” on April 15, 2022, and released their first movie, Seventeen Power of Love: The Movie worldwide on April 20 and 23, 2022. Pledis Entertainment also announced earlier this month that the 13-member group will be holding their third world tour, “Be the Sun” this year, starting in Seoul at the Gocheok Sky Dome on June 25 and 26, 2022.

“Face the Sun” once again sees the magic touch of member Woozi, as he has participated in composing and producing all of the songs in the album. One week into the pre-order period for the album, “Face the Sun” had already surpassed 1.74 million pre-orders, breaking their past record high from “Attaca”. By May 20, 2022, SEVENTEEN’s album distributor YG PLUS announced that the group had surpassed 2 million pre-orders for their album.

The album’s title track, “HOT”, is described as a “hip hop song highlighting SEVENTEEN’s will to confidently move forward on their own path while facing the scorching sun head-on”.

Carats were obviously not okay, after finally waiting for their faves’ anticipated album. The music video also brought up a lot of feelings (positive, of course) in the fandom.

SEVENTEEN was definitely so hot for that album. Go stream “HOT” here.
