James Blunt releases new single ‘Tastes Like Summer’

James Blunt returns with a brand new song that provides a warm, fresh soundtrack to this wonderful summer. Recorded with his excellent live band, ‘Tastes Like Summer’ feels like a lovely dip into the pool of romance.

James Blunt 'Tastes Like Summer'

‘Tastes Like Summer’ is produced by Red Triangle (Richard Parkhouse and George Tizzard) who have worked with Bastille, Sabrina Carpenter, Yungblud and David Guetta. It’s written by James Blunt and Red Triangle and recorded in the UK at Pig Music Studios, Banbury and the Beach in Dorset and is released by his longtime label, Atlantic Records.

James says: “’Taste Like Summer’ binds the joy of summer to the joy of being attracted to someone.”

‘Tastes Like Summer’ is the first new James Blunt music since his acclaimed 2023 album Who We Used To Be. In 2024 he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his Back To Bedlam debut, one of the best-selling albums of the Noughties. James’ sold-out UK arena tour in February last year received glowing reviews and cemented his reputation as one of the most entertaining singer-songwriters of his generation.
