After a well-succeeded comeback with the song and MV of “SHOOTING STAR”, the girl group XG released on their official YouTube channel the performance video of the recent success. The third single, released over a year after their debut in the music industry, made the career of global dimensions even shinier.
“XG – SHOOTING STAR (Performance Video)” is a gift to ALPHAZ (name of the official fandom), but also a demonstration of JURIN’s, CHISA’s, HINATA’s, HARVEY’s, JURIA’s, MAYA’s, and COCONA’s unique abilities. The septet performs their third single in an extraordinary scenario: a matrix that highlights not only the details of the modern and bold outfits but also of the choreography which became viral on social media thanks to the “SHOOTING STAR CHALLENGE.”
The track and music video of “SHOOTING STAR” was released on January 25, surpassing 13 million views in less than two weeks only on YouTube. The song reached the top of the chart of the same platform in 25 regions, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan, and the ranking of music videos most viewed worldwide, as well as the top 3 in the United States.
The success of the song took the group once again to a prestigious position on South Korean music shows. XG will perform on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on March 8, as well as SBS’s INKIGAYO, Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN, Arirang TV’s SIMPLY K-POP, MBC’s M ‘SHOW CHAMPION’, among other popular shows.
As a group of global concepts and philosophy, XG will be on radio shows in the United States, such as iHeartRadio and WILD 94.9. Besides that, the septet will also release a video along with the YouTube channel “REACT”, with over 20 million subscribers. The girls will be in the Hindustan Times (one of India’s biggest newspapers), on the weekly edition of the Philippines magazine NYLON Manila, among other international media.
