‘The design is very Filipino’: These hilarious Bondee memes are taking over Facebook

Every time a new trend pops up on the internet, we can always expect Filipinos to poke fun at it.

Now, we proved just that as Filipinos online generated a whole load of memes out of the newest and hottest social networking app, Bondee.

Since its launch on January 17, Singapore-based app Bondee has already taken the internet by storm and captured many users’ attention, particularly in Southeast Asia. It has ranked first in the Social Networking charts on the App Store, with over 1 million downloads.

The app, which is the brainchild of Metadream, allows users to customize their own 3D avatars and their own space. Users can also share their mood and status of the day, interact with their friends on Bondee, and leave and find messages in drifting bottles through its “floating” feature (we know–you’ll understand these paragraph best by using the app yourself).

With the app’s fun and endearing nature, it’s no wonder that more and more people are having fun with Bondee, especially Filipinos.

On Facebook, Bondee is creating quite an online stir within popular Filipino Facebook groups as the people show off their creativity and wit through the designs of their own spaces.

And the designs are…well, very Filipino. I mean, most of them memefied Bondee, and that’s a very Filipino thing to do.

Check out some of the most hilarious Bondee memes we found on Facebook:
