LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin releases new track, ‘I ≠ DOLL’

Following the release of her first solo song, “Raise y_our glass” over 5 months ago, HYBE and Source Music dropped the LE SSERAFIM member’s second self-composed track, “I ≠ DOLL” on January 9, 2023. Both of Huh Yunjin’s singles have been made available on all streaming platforms on the same day.

Huh Yunjin’s latest single is a rock and trap influenced track talking about how others tend to focus on a person’s physical appearance more than their inner worth and talents.

The LE SSERAFIM member talked about the inspiration behind the track in a press release saying,

“This song contains thoughts on new things that I learn after my debut. Sometimes what appears to be the main criterion for evaluating someone. ‘I ≠ DOLL’ contains emotions when experiencing this in person or looking objectively from the perspective of a third party. I hope the message of this song will reach more people.”

Apart from composing the song and its lyrics, Huh Yunjin also created the single’s official artwork and animation for the music video.

FEARNOTs, the fans of LE SSERAFIM, as well as many other people all praised the LE SSERAFIM member for her artistry and how raw and real the lyrics of the track were. They also thanked Huh Yunjin for being a voice and a change within the K-Pop idol industry—not everyone would be strong enough to channel their vulnerabilities into such a meaningful song.

Thank you for not giving up on your dreams, Yunjin! The K-Pop industry is so lucky to have you.
