Breakout pop sensation vaultboy drops catchy festive track ‘christmas as a kid’

Hot on the heels of vaultboy’s sophomore EP ‘this is what i get’, the multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer returns with a cheerful festive track just in time for the holiday season.

Rarely does a song’s title so naturally fit the mood it expresses, but that’s what vaultboy’s latest single “christmas as a kid” has achieved. The track brings a spirited fusion of nostalgia and vibrant melodies paired with his crisp vocals.

vaultboy explains, “My new song ‘christmas as a kid’ is me capturing my warm and fuzzy feelings around Christmas growing up. It’s incredibly picturesque and nostalgic for me and pulls me right back to those moments as a kid with my family on Christmas. I hope this song can help others remember those good times, too.”

vaultboy’s talent for songwriting has won over millions of fans across the globe over the last year. Navigating matters of the heart through his music with perfect poise, his talent for witty and relatable lyricism has not gone unnoticed.

Just last month, vaultboy revealed his EP ‘this is what i get’ which features fan-favourite tracks “ghost stories”, “i wish u knew” and “why you gotta be like that (feat. Nightly)”. This record follows his debut self-titled debut EP which was released in January this year to global acclaim. The five track body of work was an impressive introduction to vaultboy’s knack for flawless and catchy alt-pop. His debut single “everything sucks” entered the Spotify Global Charts at #1, staying there for almost two full weeks as well as Spotify’s Viral Charts in 37 countries across the world.

Since vaultboy’s debut in 2021, he has made an incredible impact globally, racking up over 300 million streams in one year and is now servicing over 5.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

His storming debut was especially evident across Asia, where he steamrolled into the Top 5 of Viral Charts in Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. “everything sucks” also entered top radio stations across the region, eventually landing on Asia Pop 40 (aired on 96 radio stations across APAC) with the music video added to rotation on TV channels like Vh1 India, MTV Asia, Music TV (Indonesia) and VERY TV (Thailand). Currently, his Top 15 Streaming Markets worldwide include India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan.

Born and bred in Jacksonville, Florida, he first began experimenting with music at High School and he has been honing his skills ever since. After joining TikTok at the end of 2020 he found the platform to be the perfect match for his clever, quick ability to write songs and engage an audience which now sits at 1.4 million followers. With no signs of slowing down on his meteoric rise, vaultboy is certainly an artist to continue keeping an eye on.
