WayV to finally make their comeback with their fourth EP, “Phantom”

Wayshennies have been waiting for this comeback for over a year and a half.

On November 23, 2022 at 12 M.N. KST, SM Entertainment and Label V announced the return of Chinese boy band WayV to the music scene with their 4th mini album, “Phantom”. The news was also posted on the group’s official social media accounts, along with a teaser image hinting their concept for their comeback.

This marks K-Pop group’s first release after more than a year and a half following their third EP, “Kick Back”, and 11 months after their participation in NCT’s third studio album, “Universe”.

WayV’s currently active members are Kun, Ten, Winwin, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang. Member Lucas is still on hiatus following the controversy regarding his personal life.

“Phantom” consists of 8 tracks, including the title track of the same name. WayV’s sub-unit singles will also be a part of their new EP—WayV – Kun & Xiaojun’s “Back To You”, and WayV – Ten & Yangyang’s “Low Low”.

Wayshennies have been impatiently (understatement) waiting for the return of WayV for a very long time, and now that the drought is over, they have been saying nothing but praises and of course, “finally!” Even the WayV members themselves are ecstatic to be back in the music scene.

Everything is looking quite good for SM Entertainment’s releases for the end of the year—Red Velvet on November 28, 2022, WayV on December 9, 2022, then NCT Dream on December 19, 2022. SM Ent. stans just keep eating it all up, huh.
