Englicom, a Filipino-Chinese socio-civic organization at De La Salle University-Manila, will hold its flagship event called: “Transcend: Cutting Edge Among the Rest,” with the goal of boosting aspiration, innovation, and efficiency through an insightful seminar and a business pitch competition. In addition to providing students with a platform to develop the skills necessary in the business world through the business pitch competition, this week-long hybrid event will feature eminent speakers from different fields who will share their success stories, experiences, and overall journeys in their respective industries.

About the Seminar
The goal of the seminar is to present the success stories of speakers from different industries and showcase their humble beginnings and the various ways for discovering and gaining an edge and surpassing limits to become who they are today. Transcend: Cutting Edge Amongst the Rest is aimed to boost the creativity, effectiveness, and aspiration of students through an enlightening seminar entitled “The Blueprint to Discovering One’s Value Proposition.”
About the Speakers
Two speakers will join in and share their personal journeys, tactics that helped them broaden their minds and get an edge in their respective fields, the strategies that helped them make the transition from being students to entering the professional world, the challenges they faced along the way and how they overcame them, an advice for students on how to use the said approaches, and finally, the significance of having a competitive edge amongst the rest. Our speakers will undoubtedly leave you with a multitude of practical and illuminating insights!
The first speaker is Mr. Steve Sy, the CEO and Founder of Great Deals E-Commerce Corp. He is also the co-founder of Shoppertainment Live Inc., Zagana and Strat Quad. An Alibaba Business School E Founder Fellow, an endeavor entrepreneur, a Mansmith innovation awardee, and one of the Top 100 Filipinos to follow on LinkedIn for inspiration and learning.
Our second speaker for the seminar is Arch. Patrick Andrew Y. He studied BS Architecture at University of Santo Tomas – College of Architecture, Manila (PH) in 2011 and MSc Emergent Technologies and Design at Architectural Association School of Architecture, London in 2015. Moreover, he is the co-founder and Managing Partner for T+A Design Studio till this day.
