Toby Fox says ‘Deltarune’ won’t have new chapters in 2022

Sad news for fans of Deltarune, there won’t be any new chapters this 2022, as told by creator Toby Fox in a recent tweet:

The good news is that Fox says something is planned for the anniversaries of the releases of Undertale and Deltarune Chapter 2. Undertale, Toby Fox’s award-winning video game masterpiece, was released way back on the 15th of September, 2015. On the other hand, the second chapter of Deltarune was released on September 17, 2021. So even if we won’t get the third chapter for Deltarune soon, we’d still be ready for what Fox has in store for the fans of his games next week.

The first chapter of Deltarune was released back in October 2018 for the PC. Fans instantly fell in love with the game for its visuals, comedy, music, and overall charm. With it being somewhat the successor of Undertale, fans couldn’t be more excited to see how the story of Deltarune would progress. The first two chapters of Deltarune are free and available on Steam. However, Fox previously stated that chapters 3 to 5 of the game would be released simultaneously. At this point, the game would have a price tag and will apparently cost more than Undertale, a Php300 game. There isn’t a sold price yet, though.

Fox also plans for Deltarune to have seven chapters. He also says that he’s got more and more people working with him for the game, which is a new experience for him as he almost worked completely alone with Undertale.
