‘Among Us 3D’ is set to launch soon with new game remodels, features, and added layer of survival and trickery

‘Among Us,’ a multiplayer mobile game that peaked in user engagement during the quarantine period, is set to receive a makeover with a 3D remodel, adding an extra layer of survival and trickery to its narrative.

Among Us 3D 🚀 Teaser Trailer

The social deduction game was developed by Innersloth back in 2018. But, the craze around the game built up back in 2020. ‘Among Us’ followed the journey of 10 crew members stuck on a spacecraft while fulfilling tasks to maintain vital systems. However, the infamous imposter is among them to sabotage the crew’s work and even to the point of murder.

The new 3D format of the game will allow users to fully immerse themselves into the environment of the game, performing gameplay tasks, sabotages, emergency meetings, and the suspense of hiding through the vents.

This recent development will also include features at the advantage of players such as native proximity voice chat that will allow them to directly talk with each other while playing the game. Prior to this upgraded mode of communication, players could only talk to one another through the game’s chatbox. Hence, during quarantine, friends gathered via online group calls to bond over the game. ‘Among Us 3D’ will also include mini-games, first-person controls, and customizable wardrobe or skin.

‘Among Us 3D’ was in fact adapted from the 2022 version of the game ‘Among Us VR’ which allowed users to closely feel and simulate the game with the use of a Virtual Reality (VR) headset. However, for its 2025 version, creators made sure that ‘Among Us’ will become more accessible with or without VR headsets.

If players prefer to use VR while on game, they will be able to cross-play with users on VR consoles such as Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO.

Innersloth released a demo version of ‘Among Us 3D’ available via Steam as part of its ‘Next Fest,’ a weeklong celebration which featured hundreds of free playable demos along with developer livestreams and chats, which will run until March 3.

In 2023, it was announced that an animated series of ‘Among Us’ is currently in the works under CBS studios in collaboration with Innersloth. The published logline narrated what’s in store for the series, “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

Meanwhile, Innersloth is yet to announce when the game will officially be launched as players await an elevated jarring, and thrilling gaming experience for ‘Among Us 3D.’
