BTS to hold global in-person ‘Yet To Come’ concert for free

This is not a drill: BTS will headline a free global in-person concert this October for the World Expo 2030 Busan!

If you can fly to Busan on October 15, block off that date because this is your chance to watch the boys perform again, live, as a group!

On August 24, Big Hit Music finally confirmed the news and released the details about the event. Titled “World Expo 2030 Busan Korea Concert BTS In Busan,” the upcoming concert will be organized by the K-pop act’s management and is supported by the Committee for EXPO 2030 Busan. It will take place on October 15, at 6 PM (5 PM in Philippine time) at Bulsan Ilgwang special stage in the city of Busan, which is also the hometown of the two members, Jungkook and Jimin.

“We hope ARMY from all around the world will send a lot of support to BTS’s special performance to promote Busan’s bid for World Expo 2030.” the statement reads.

As stated, the free in-person concert will be held in the hopes of increasing the chances for Busan to host the 2030 World Expo.

According to Big Hit, “Live Play” will also be available at the venue to make the fans feel the lively moments of the concert. It is an in-person event in which fans can watch the concert in real-time on a large screen.

And for the “team bahay” fans who can’t fly all the way to South Korea, worry not as online live streaming will also be available on various platforms such as Weverse, Zepetto, and Naver Now.

The announcement disclosed the ticket agent for the event, but not much was revealed about how fans could score the tickets. Additional details about ticket sales for the in-person concert and Live play as well as for the online live streaming will be announced at a later date.

For the K-pop sensation, it is a dream come true. It can be remembered that Jin expressed his intent to hold a free concert with his co-members. “We have a dream that we haven’t accomplished yet. “Our dream is to get hundreds and thousands of people, millions of people around the world, and do a performance [concert] for free,” he said during their ending announcement on the last day of Permission To Dance On Stage in Las Vegas earlier this year. Months later, they were appointed as the honorary ambassadors of the World Expo 2030 Busan.

The concert marks BTS’ first concert as a group since they announced their hiatus last June.
