Learn to self love with TikTok creator Thurees

Manila, Philippines – April 1, 2022 – TikTok, a leading destination for short-form mobile video, is a safe place where female creators can freely and creatively express their authentic selves. The inclusive environment that has been fostered on the platform has given rise to such creators as Thurees, a loud, vibrant, colorful Filipina, who advocates for body positivity and female empowerment. TikTok puts the spotlight on Thurees as we reach the tail-end of the International Women’s Month, as an inspiring woman to watch out for all the time, on the platform.

Thurees is a product photographer, prop stylist, and occasional model, who shares content that focuses on confidence, and reflects her personal style. However, while she loves showing off her outfits that break conventional beauty standards, Thurees is also aware that not a lot of women her size have the confidence to dress the way they want.

This is something she hopes to change, saying, “I’m here to show that you can literally look so good, feel good, celebrate your body, and wear whatever makes you happy no matter what weight you are, no matter what ‘flaws’ society tells you you have.”

On flaunting her curves and stretch marks, or what she calls her body’s natural tattoos, Thurees says, “I do this because this is what makes me happy and I hope that other women that look like me realize that they, too, can dress however they want to dress. I’m going to keep doing what I do, and represent women who look like me until everyone realizes how every body is literally beautiful and meant to be celebrated.”

Through her content, Thurees hopes to inspire her female followers to celebrate the women they are, do what makes them happy, and have the confidence to wear anything that brings them joy. She also encourages everyone to learn to find beauty in the little things that occur in every day life.

“No one is you and that is your power.” This is one of the most important life lessons that Thurees has learned as a woman, and one that she hopes to teach others like her as well.
