Twitter reacts to Ariana Grande’s IG reaction to VP Robredo’s Pasig rally

Last March 20, more than 130,000 people flocked to Emerald Avenue in Pasig for the PasigLaban Para sa Tropa Pasig City People’s Rally in support of presidential candidate Leni Robredo and her running mate Kiko Pangilinan. The street was flooded with pink as literally hundreds of thousands donned the color representing the Leni-Kiko campaign.

One moment that went viral on social media is when the PasigLaban crowd in pink all harmoniously sang Ariana Grande’s hit song, “Break Free.” This particular moment at PasigLaban became so well-known on social media that it even caught the attention of Ariana Grande herself. She expressed her amazement by posting two IG stories of the crowd singing her song.

Of course, Twitter just had to react to this special moment with some funny quips and poorly edited memes. Let’s look at some of the funniest reactions from the mini-blogging site.

Twitter pointed out that Leni is somehow starting to collect pop star supporters like Thanos with the Infinity Stones. Cher, Ariana – who’s next?

Here are some tweets where Ariana looks like a special guest for Robredo’s campaign:

Ariana’s “God is a woman” refers to Leni?

After Ariana showed her support for Robredo, social media influencer Bretman Rock also went on IG Stories to express his support for Leni.

It’s quite amazing to see 130,000 Filipinos gather in one area to promote one presidential candidate, but it’s another incredible thing entirely to see international pop culture icons post about VP Robredo and her campaign.
