JYP Entertainment’s newest girl group NMIXX makes debut with ‘O.O’

JYP Entertainment’s newest rookie girl group is catching everyone’s attention, and they’re obviously eating it all up.

On February 22, 2022 at 6 P.M. KST, NMIXX made their debut with their first single album, “AD MARE”, releasing the music video for the title track as well. Their debut comes 2 months after the debut of JYP Entertainment’s newest band, Xdinary Heroes, and 4 years after ITZY’s debut, making them the youngest members of the JYP family.

Comprising of 7 members, Kyujin, Jiwoo, BAE, Jinni, Sullyoon, Haewon, and Lily, the girls have been introduced by JYP Entertainment to the public with a series of dance videos and song covers. At that time, the group had been originally called JYPn.

“O.O”, the title track of NMIXX’s single album, is described in Soompi as “NMIXX’s own ‘MIXX POP’ genre song that combines Baile Funk and Teenage Pop Rock.” Lyrically, the song reveals the girl group’s confidence in surprising the world with “something new.”

K-Pop stans have been anticipating the rookie girl group’s debut, and once the music video had been released, they had been blown away.

Others noticed that NMIXX’s music video concept drew inspiration and is possibly connected to the themes of their fellow JYP artists, specifically Stray Kids, ITZY, and Xdinary Heroes.

Congratulations on your successful debut, NMIXX!
