Nevermind if you don’t get a letter from Hogwarts this time.
Your dreams of attending the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will finally come true! Well, sort of.
Pottermore announced that a new mobile game called “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery” will be released next year.
Created by Los Angeles-based mobile games studio Jam City, and Portkey Games, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first mobile game in which players can create their own characters and experience becoming a Hogwarts student.
Only a few details about the gameplay have been released, but players’ characters can do the same things as real Hogwart students would do. This includes taking part in a Duelling Club and going to classes like “Defense Against the Dark Arts” with professors you’re very much familiar with (if you’re a true Harry Potter fan).
This is just one of the games that Potterheads are eagerly looking forward to next year. Recently, it was also announced by Niantic, the game developer behind Pokémon Go, that fans of Harry Potter will be able to experience the magic in the Wizarding World on real-world locations through an augmented reality game called “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite”. Details of the game will be announced in 2018 while no release date has been revealed.
Pottermore hints that Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be released on September as another term starts in Hogwarts. The app will be available on the App Store and Google Play.
Now can we use magic and fast forward in time for this?
