After Hospital Playlist reached its conclusion with an abrupt finale on its second season, the hit medical drama series’ avid fans never stopped pleading for a third season to happen.
That is why when the main cast suddenly posted a reunion photo on Instagram last February 14, wearing their scrubs while on the set of the show, K-Drama fans were definitely stunned and became promptly hopeful for the possibility of a season 3.
Jung Kyung Ho was the first one to drop the photos of them looking natural in their scrubs and coats, seemingly having casual conversation like they usually do in the drama.

Although the cast seems like they’re up for another season of the highly-rated series, the possibility of it to come into place is yet to be confirmed by the production team.
Even Shin Won Ho, the director himself, admitted that there were still a lot of stories left to tell for the characters.
But due to the exhaustion of the entire production team of the drama, the third season is most likely not happening any time soon with Shin expressing the difficulties in making the decision if they’ll continue on with the story.
“The original plan was to air in the same season across three years, but I told [the cast] that they are not tied up for the next season and that they should freely take on other projects. I said if we happen to return later, we can do it then. There are no specific plans for Season 3 right now,” Shin Won-Ho said via Soompi.
Though a Season 3 for Hospital Playlist is still far from coming to life, fans can watch the 5 main cast – Jeon Mido, Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seon, Kim Dae Myung and Jung Kyung Ho in their variety show Mountain Village Playlist for now.
Mountain Village Playlist is a spinoff of the popular Korean variety show Three Meals a Day where the actors can be seen making a great effort to cook their meals while in their natural elements, showing their real-life friendship and chemistry.
