2022 Super Bowl Halftime show trailer features legendary hip hop artists

Pepsi released the Super Bowl 2022 Half-Time show trailer, featuring hip hop legends Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and even a cameo from Slim Shady.

The trailer starts with Eminem and his alter-ego Slim Shady, throwing ‘Rap God’ lyrics at each other while the song plays in the background. Eminem then gets a call and flies on a private plane to LA. We then get a smooth song transition to ‘The Next Episode’ and see Snoop Dogg driving a lowrider and getting a text message.

We move on to Mary J. Blige and her song ‘Family Affair’. She does a glamorous photoshoot, gets a message, and drives down to LA as well. After that, we see Kendrick Lamar writing a bunch of lyrics on tons of paper while his classic song ‘Humble’ plays in the background. Lastly, we see the mastermind Dr. Dre himself, walking along a beach, with piano keys rising from the waters. He’s been the one moving the chess pieces and calling everyone to go to LA for the halftime show. At the end of the trailer, they all meet up in Los Angeles near SoFi Stadium, where the Superbowl will take place in February.

The Super Bowl 2022 trailer just basically screams nostalgia, as the revolutionary artists of the late 90s and early 2000s will all come together to perform. Fans love seeing legends come back, as seen in the comments under the trailer released on YouTube.

Dr. Dre finds meaning in many incredible artists going together in Los Angeles this upcoming February 13. He says this in a previous statement regarding the line-up: “The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career. I’m grateful to Jay-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
